Sound for Little Curiosities
In class, we started editing sound clips, music, and audio effects to create the song for the opening sequence.
This is just audio for the opening (there is no video)
We trimmed the song and adjusted the sound so that it could fade out smoothly and sound like it is finished, we also added a creepy laughing sound effect to the song.
Filming day 1: chicken
As the original idea of photoshopping animals and printing it out to put into jars wasn't very effective (it was too unrealistic) so we resorted to going to plan B, where we got an actual dead chicken from the nearby market (support the locals bless thailand) and used it instead. We used food colouring to make the liquid more abnormal and creepy.

Title sequence planning
Today we worked on the credits for the movie, including how we will present it in our film. We wanted the names to be physically within our movie, which led us to the idea that the surgeon would highlight and cut out names. We had to choose appropriate names for actors and staff. People who have legitimately contributed have been credited too (we got our music from Robert Austin, therefore he appears as he should. We ourselves appear as writer and director.)

Film opening analysis - Hanna
HANNA (2011)
How is meaning created in the clip through micro-elements?
Keywords, ideas and notes.
The sequence of establishing shots including the animals on their own shows the isolation and that Hanna lives in an isolated place most likely on her own. Mise-en-scene is used as the snow covers a majority of the frames shows the bareness and barrenness.
